The tender is for the public display exercise regarding the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the proposed construction of a private airport in Ikot Abasi and Mkpat Enin Local Government Areas, Akwa Ibom State by Aerosphere Aviation FZE. The project includes the development of a Private Airport designed for Category 4C aircraft, with infrastructure such as a runway, passenger terminal, cargo facilities, control tower, maintenance hangars, fuel farm, access roads, and supporting utilities on approximately 590 hectares. The project aims to enhance regional connectivity, support logistics for the Sterling Petrochemical and Fertilizer Limited (SPFL) Project, improve transportation efficiency, facilitate movement of goods and personnel, enable emergency response services, and stimulate economic growth in Akwa Ibom State.
