Description:
The principal objective of the Special Agro – Processing Zones is to support inclusive and sustainable agro – industrial development in Nigeria. The project will equally address increase household incomes, foster job creation in rural agricultural communities, especially for youth and women, and enhance food and nutritional security in Nigeria. The SAPZ Program interventions will seek to enhance the competitiveness of selected value chains. This will be achieved through increased productivity, aggregation and reliable supply of quality raw materials, value addition, market access and private sector investment. The procurement mode under this project shall include: ICB, NCB, NS, QCBS, CQS, ICS, SSS DC, LCS and Force Account. This program will be jointly financed by the Islamic Development Bank which is financing Kano and Kwara States including FCT in the sum of USD150.52Million.
