Description:
Prequalifications are invited for Contract Works for Treatment Works, Transmission and Storage in Kano State (Lot 2) The Employer intends to prequalify firms for Works Package 2: Lot 2 Contract Works for Treatment Works, Transmission and Storage in Kano State which comprise the following: PRODUCTION FACILITIES: a. Rehabilitation of the Tamburawa water treatment plant (150,000 m3/day) and works to secure a raw water intake located downstream of industrial areas. b. Rehabilitation of the Challawa 2 (90,000 m3/day) and Challawa 3 (120,000 m3/day) water treatment plants and related raw water intakes. TRANSMISSION LINE: a. Commissioning of the existing 15 km of transmission main between the Challawa waterworks and Goron Dutse reservoir. b. Construction of new transmission line from new intake to Challawa 2 and Challawa STORAGE RESERVOIR a. Construction of a 5,000 m3 distribution reservoir at Bompai Hill. A detailed Description of the Scope of Works is in the Prequalification Document. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in June 2022.
