  • Request for proposals are invited for Analysis of the Female Food Hero(Ffh) Engagement Strategy Based on these challenges, we would like to conduct a case study analysis to understand better the challenges and opportunities in engaging the Ogbonge women in the Female Food Hero (FFH) Initiative in Nigeria to: Assess the extent to which Oxfam-s engagement strategies contributed to or failed to contribute to the long-term sustainability of the FFH initiative and Oxfam-s ability to engage with the women sustainably. Analyse the role of Oxfam-s internal systems and processes in contributing to the sustainable engagement of Ogbonge women in the FFH initiative. Purpose of Consultancy: The purpose of this consultancy is to review, identify, collate, analyze, synthesize, and document strategies, systems, processes, lessons learnt, experiences, and practices that have either supported or undermined Oxfam-s engagement with the Ogbonge women in the implementation of the FFH initiative in Nigeria. The target audiences for this piece of work include: Female Farmers: To share lessons and have their voices be heard on how best to engage with Oxfam. The findings will inform the future of the FFH initiative and help strengthen partnerships between female farmers and NGOs. Oxfam Staff & Partners: To critically reflect and learn from the opportunities and challenges documented. The recommendations can be used to inform best practices in engaging with women-s organizations and social networks and can also be replicated in other countries. Recommendations to address internal challenges can also be addressed to ensure improved engagement with women-s organizations and movements. Donors: The findings will be used to showcase what approaches/strategies work in bringing on board women-s voices in advocacy and influencing work. The findings are expected to show the strength of Oxfam-s work in partnering with women-s organizations and can support Oxfam-s efforts to find funding for this work further into the future. A cover letter introducing the consultant and how their skills and competencies described above are met with concrete examples. A three pages outline of the proposed consultancy: Proposed outline methodology Management arrangements A one (1) page budget covering all major costs: (N.B Oxfam prefers to pay an agreed price for the totality of the work including all field trips. This would be paid in phased installments outlined above) A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Oxfam Procurement Policy. Once the shortlist is finalized, the best-qualified consultant(s) for the above will be invited for negotiations of the terms of the contract. Oxfam invites bids from research teams or firms with the experience and skills described above. Management Process The work will be carried out in close collaboration with Oxfam Nigeria.
