Nigeria has announced a key contract award under the Nigeria Distributed Access through Renewable Energy Scale-up (DARES) Project, strengthening strategic communication and advocacy around nationwide renewable energy rollout. The contract award notice, published on January 22, 2026, follows a Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) process supported by IDA financing (Credit No. 74680).

Contract Scope and Duration

The consultancy contract covers specialised media relations and advocacy services, including multimedia content production, strategic communications, and program management. The assignment is designed to support public awareness, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy for distributed renewable energy solutions across Nigeria.

The contract will run for 24 months, aligning with the implementation phase of the DARES Project.
